Another interesting Enrichment Opportunity!

The Bachelor of Humanities invites submissions for its fifth annual High School Essay Contest. All High School or CÉGEP students are invited to submit an essay, of no more than 1000 words in length, answering the following question:

Is the unexamined life not worth living?

The contest winner and runner-up, as chosen by a panel of professors in the Bachelor of Humanities program, will receive $500 and $250 respectively.  The deadline for submissions is 15 January 2018, and contest results will be announced by the end of March 2018.

Do you have an interest in Canadian politics and speak both official languages? Are you a Canadian citizen or permanent resident graduating from a high school/CEGEP with an overall average of at least 80 per cent? The House of Commons Page Program is a unique opportunity to see the House of Commons in action, meet other youth from across the country, and earn approximately $16,000 for the year-long contract. Additionally, Carleton will award up to 15 scholarships to students in the House of Commons Page program who are entering an undergraduate degree program at Carleton University. Valued at $1,000, the scholarship is awarded in addition to other Entrance Scholarships. The deadline to apply for the House of Commons Page Program is December 4, 2017.
